We’re into Day 2 here in Austin at our Live Path To Profits Workshop, and the energy level is really off the charts! Yesterday, in our Marketing and Finding Deals Session we told you we would post here on the Blog How To Put a Custom Signature On Your E-Mail Account To Get More Deals, Find More Private Money and Get More Deals Sold.

And, that’s just what this post is all about. Here, we’re going to walk you through the process of adding a custom signature to your e-mail account, whether you use GMail from Google, MicroSoft Outlook or Yahoo Mail.

Why Add A Custom Signature To Your E-Mail Account?

Success as a real estate investor is really a lot about just getting the word out about what you do and what you want. What do you think the best way to go about getting the word out is?

Well, one of the simplest and easiest ways to let people know what you do is to tell them effortlessly and without coming off like a network marketer forcing them to listen to a “pitch” about what you do.

How can you do that?

Simple… put a customized signature on your e-mail account to let the world know what you do with every single e-mail that you send out.

You would be amazed at where deals come from, and you would also be amazed at how many people you know probably do not know that you are a real estate investor!

Any of those people you are e-mailing may be the source of the next deal you find that can put thousands of dollars into your pocket. Do you really want to neglect letting them know they could refer that deal to you?

How To Add A Custom Signature To Your Google Gmail Account

Action Step #1 – Go to your GMail e-mail account and sign in.

Action Step #2 – In the upper right hand corner of your screen, you’ll see a link labeled “Settings.” Click that link and then on the Settings page you’ll see the sixth option down is called “Signature.” If you have not already chosen a signature, the little radio button that says “No Signature” will be checked.

Action Step #3 – Just click the empty radio button directly beneath that and then type something about your real estate investing business in the signature text block.

It doesn’t have to be complicated, maybe something as simple as, “I buy and sell notes, houses, real estate paper and can pay cash on the date of your choice at closing. If you or someone you know needs help with past due mortgages or other real estate issues, call me at (your phone number).”

Action Step #4 – When you’re done, scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Save Changes” and you now have a continuous marketing resource with every e-mail you send.

How To Add A Custom Signature To Your Yahoo E-mail Account

Action Step #1 – Log in to your Yahoo E-mail account

Action Step #2 – Click on “Options” in the upper right corner of your screen, then select “Mail Options” from the drop down box.

Action Step #3 – In the middle column of the page under “Management” the fourth option is “Signature.” Click that link.

Action Step #4 – then type in your signature as described in the Gmail section above.

Action Step #5 – click the check box that says “Add signature to all outgoing messages;”

Action Step #6 – then click “Save” and you’re done.

How To Add A Custom Signature To Your MicroSoft Outlook Account

Action Step #1 - log in to your Hotmail E-Mail account.

Action Step #2 – For Outlook it will depend on what version of Outlook you are using. In the current version, just click on “Tools”

Action Step #3 – select “Mail Options” from the drop down menu.

Action Step #4 – Then, click the “Mail Format” tab from the Options dialog box,

Action Step #5 – click on “Signatures.”

Action Step #6 – Type your messages as described in the Gmail section, and

Action Step #7 – click the “Save” button under the signature text box.

Action Step #8 – Click “Okay” and you’re done!

Conclusion

That’s it, now you have a little salesperson accompanying every e-mail you send out from your e-mail account!
