The market leading Essentials of Investments, 7e by Bodie, Kane and Marcus is an undergraduate textbook on investment analysis, presenting the practical applications of investment theory to convey insights of practical value. The authors have eliminated unnecessary mathematical detail and concentrate on the intuition and insights that will be useful to practitioners throughout their careers as new ideas and challenges emerge from the financial marketplace. Essentials maintains the theme of asset allocation (authors discuss asset pricing and trading then apply these theories to portfolio planning in real-world securities markets that are governed by risk/return relationships).

4 Stars review on finance book
very pleased. book was in good condition as noted on description and pleased with shipping time.
1 Star Its unbelieable utter piece of CR@P
This book is pretty much useless when you have to do your readings because the it doesn’t show you anything. The text xplanatinos and examples is take out from fortune magazines or silly examples that are found in lower finance classes.
I can’t believe the authors can sell this book for $130. I am getting by because i have other books about this material. I bought it because i need to do the homework.
Numeric examples and calculations are just spreadsheets from excell which lets you figure out the rest. The best is that they try to explain the steps of some calculations and embeded into a paragraph.
Thank You. I feel being rob Utter by the publishers
2 Stars Blah
Worked on the Street for 20 years. This book neglects many aspects of the truth. Good for the Ivory Tower bunch, not realists.
1 Star complaint
Not very good.
There are many marks and lines on the book.
3 Stars Needed the text for class.
I received the textbook in a timely fashion, so I could use it for my class. It’s not the best textbook I’ve used, but it was required, hence the 3 stars.
